This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Quebec privacy legislation.
NeuralMindLab is accountable for personal information under its control. Our Privacy Officer can be reached at [email protected] or by mail at our Sherbrooke address above. We have designated internal personnel responsible for ensuring compliance with this policy and responding to privacy inquiries within reasonable timeframes.
We collect personal information for identified purposes including: processing course enquiries and enrolment applications; delivering neural network and deep learning training programmes; communicating schedule updates, bench session reminders, and cohort announcements; issuing completion certificates; facilitating corporate upskilling workshops; processing payments through third-party processors; complying with legal and regulatory obligations; improving our educational platform and website functionality; and responding to support requests. We do not collect personal information for unrelated purposes such as AI consulting lead generation, web design sales, or marketing agency campaigns.
We obtain meaningful consent before or at the time of collection, except where permitted by law. Contact forms on neuralmindlab.pro include an explicit PIPEDA consent checkbox that is never pre-checked. By submitting an enquiry, you consent to collection and use of the information provided for responding to your request. Enrolment agreements include separate consent for programme delivery. You may withdraw consent for non-essential processing by contacting [email protected], subject to legal or contractual restrictions and our need to retain certain records for compliance purposes.
We collect only information reasonably necessary for stated purposes. This may include: full name; email address; telephone number; organisation name; programme or service interest; message content; billing and payment information processed by payment providers; IP address and browser metadata; device type and operating system; cookie preferences; learning progress and milestone submissions within enrolled programmes; and correspondence records. We do not require government identification numbers except where legally mandated for corporate invoicing.
Personal information is used only for purposes identified at collection or as permitted by law. We do not sell personal information to third parties. Disclosure may occur to: Canadian and North American hosting and cloud infrastructure providers; payment processors; email delivery services; learning management platforms; instructors and teaching assistants involved in your cohort; professional advisors bound by confidentiality; and government authorities when required by law. Enrolment and training records are typically retained for up to seven years. Enquiry records are retained for up to twenty-four months unless a business relationship develops. Cookie consent preferences are stored locally for six months. Analytics data, when consented, is retained according to vendor policies not exceeding twenty-six months.
We endeavour to keep personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. You may request correction of inaccurate information by contacting [email protected]. We will amend records promptly where appropriate and notify third parties who received inaccurate data where feasible.
We implement security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information, including HTTPS encryption for website traffic, access controls limiting staff access to personal data, secure password policies, vendor due diligence for subprocessors, and staff training on PIPEDA obligations. No method of electronic transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but continuously review our practices.
This policy is publicly available at neuralmindlab.pro/privacy.php. Additional information about our privacy practices is available upon request by contacting our Privacy Officer.
You may request access to personal information we hold about you by writing to [email protected]. We will respond within thirty days where practicable, may request verification of identity, and may charge a reasonable fee for transcription where permitted. If we deny access, we will explain the reason and inform you of recourse options.
Questions or complaints about our privacy practices may be directed to our Privacy Officer. If unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, as applicable.
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Essential cookies support website functionality. Analytics cookies are deployed only with your consent via our Accept/Reject/Customise banner. You may manage preferences at any time through the banner or browser settings.
Some service providers may process personal information in the United States or other jurisdictions. We require contractual protections consistent with PIPEDA when data crosses borders. By using our services, you acknowledge that information may be subject to lawful access requests in those jurisdictions.
Our programmes are designed for adult professionals and learners aged sixteen and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under sixteen without parental consent. Contact us if you believe we have inadvertently collected such information.
Course exercises may involve AI-assisted coding or research tools. Learner submissions processed through such tools remain subject to this policy. We advise human verification of AI-generated outputs in all lab work.
We may update this Privacy Policy by revising the date above and posting the amended version on neuralmindlab.pro. Material changes affecting previously collected information will be communicated where required by law.
With your consent, we may send programme announcements, cohort opening notices, and educational content related to neural network training. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each message or by contacting [email protected]. Transactional communications related to active enrolments are not affected by marketing opt-out.
NeuralMindLab does not make enrolment or grading decisions solely through automated processing without human review. Assessment of capstone projects and milestone submissions involves instructor evaluation. Website analytics, when enabled, produce aggregated statistics only and do not determine individual access to services.
In the event of a security incident affecting personal information, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by PIPEDA and Quebec law. Notifications will describe the nature of the incident, categories of information involved, steps taken to mitigate harm, and contact information for further inquiries.
Our website may link to external resources such as PyTorch documentation, TensorFlow guides, or Canadian government privacy resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites. Review their policies before submitting personal information.
NeuralMindLab also processes personal information of employees, contractors, and instructors under separate internal policies. This Privacy Policy applies primarily to learners, website visitors, and enquiry contacts. Employment-related inquiries should be directed to [email protected].
While NeuralMindLab is based in Sherbrooke, Quebec, we welcome learners across Canada through live online delivery. Personal information of learners outside Quebec remains protected under PIPEDA. Quebec residents may have additional rights under provincial privacy legislation including rights regarding cross-border transfers and complaint procedures with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
We may create de-identified or aggregated statistics from learner progress data and website analytics to improve curriculum design and report general platform metrics. De-identified data cannot reasonably identify an individual and may be used without additional consent for internal research on neural network training effectiveness.
Payment card details are processed directly by our payment service providers and are not stored on NeuralMindLab servers. We retain transaction records including amount, date, programme purchased, and partial card identifiers for accounting, refund processing, and fraud prevention as required by law and our financial record-keeping obligations.
If NeuralMindLab maintains social media profiles for educational announcements, interactions on those platforms are governed by the respective platform privacy policies in addition to this policy. We do not use social media direct messages as a primary channel for sensitive personal information or formal PIPEDA access requests.
Active enrolment records: duration of programme plus seven years. Contact enquiries without enrolment: twenty-four months. Cookie consent preferences: six months in local browser storage. Payment transaction records: seven years for tax and accounting compliance. Analytics logs when consented: up to twenty-six months in aggregated form. You may request earlier deletion where no legal retention obligation applies by contacting our Privacy Officer with specific details of the records you wish reviewed.
You may opt out of non-essential cookies via our banner, unsubscribe from marketing emails, request access or correction of your records, and withdraw consent for processing not required by law. Some choices may limit access to optional features but will not affect essential course delivery for enrolled learners.
